Our Real Estate Advisor, Connie Lundgren, shares where to dine in, pick up curbside, shop, and play in Austin!

What area of Austin is your favorite? Thats a tough one! I live in 78731 and love the trees and convenience. One of my daughters lives in Westlake and the other lives in Circle C so I spend a lot of time in those areas. As far as real estate is concerned, I work all over Austin and marvel how it has grown!
What is your favorite Austin restaurant to dine in? Headliners or The Austin Club. We don’t like crowds.
What is your favorite Austin restaurant for picking up curbside? We mostly cook at home but I love the artichoke and feta cheese Pizza from Central Market.
What is your favorite Austin restaurant for delivery? Any pizza delivery for the kiddos!
What is your Austin favorite shop to pop into? Breed Hardware, Westbank Floral or any gift/accessory shop.

What is your go-to Austin coffee place? Food Food or Russells Bakery. I love their veggie sandwiches and I like my coffee straight up!
What is your favorite Austin spot for exercise? I love the Boardwalk over Lady Bird Lake.
What is your favorite thing to do on the weekends? Have dinner with my hubby and friends.
Where do you suggest an Austin “staycation”? A weekend in one of our new hotels downtown would provide a lot of choices and a chance to walk the city. I love weekends in the Hill Country; we usually stay with friends but shopping and wandering around small towns is fun!

What do you like most or is most rewarding about your job? Working with others and getting to know them and of course, closing on their sale or purchase!
What would you say is your real estate “tagline”? “Market Knowledge You Can Count On”
What do you notice first about a home? I first notice the condition of the home and then the floorplan.
 “Theres no better time to buy or sell than now”. Please explain further your thoughts on the current real estate market in Austin and surrounding areas.  Austin will remain a hot spot in my opinion, unless there is a global event to disrupt everything. We are a tech hub so that is a good draw for companies moving here. We are perceived as having a low cost of living and companies of all types are relocating their headquarters here making the housing market secure. We have the University, an emerging Medical Center, warm climate and beautiful typography. I think we are good!
What makes your approach to real estate different from others? I have great intuition!
Whats your favorite cocktail recipe? I really don’t have a favorite cocktail recipe, at home I drink wine.
What is your favorite holiday recipe? I have a Sweet Potato Casserole that my family LOVES!
Where is your favorite place you’ve ever traveled to and what made it so wonderful? Aspen, Colorado. It is MAGICAL! The mountains envelope you and the shopping and restaurants are magical.
Favorite hobby? I don’t really have one but I have always been interested in decorating and working on our home. I do appreciate beautiful floral arrangements and would like to spend some time on my own.
What is your daily routine like? It has changed since COVID hit but exercise first thing, then enjoy the morning with my hubby (it is one of our best times) then quiet, personal time for me when he leaves, then work!
What is something you are passionate about? Hmmmmm.. I am most passionate about real estate. When I am not working, it takes a while to get going on something else. But I keep a running list of things I want to accomplish outside of work and rely on that to get things done. I am the Crime & Safety chair of our civic association and an active volunteer of the Christopher Guild and enjoy both!
